Step 1
Begin by washing the rice really well until the water runs clear, strain the water and set aside.
Step 2
In a medium sized pot heat the ghee and crush the vermicelli noodle nests with your hands and cook until they turn a golden colour, add the rice, 3 cups of water and salt. Cover with the lid.
Step 3
Bring the pot to a boil before simmering on low heat and cooking for approximately 25 minutes or until the water has evaporated and the rice is cooked through.
Step 4
Serve alongside your favourite Lebanese traybake or stew.
