Whole Piquin Chilli 1kg
Description
Piquin, or pequin, chillies are tiny red Mexican chilli peppers. But don’t let their small size fool you – these little chillies are twenty times hotter than jalapenos! Blend into tomato sauces or meat marinades for a citrussy heat with bitter chocolate notes. Or crush the piquin chillies and sprinkle over pizzas & pasta.
As well as being fiery, piquin chillies also have an intense smokiness. The best way to draw out this smoky flavour is to infuse the chillies in liquid, like olive oil or even sugar syrup.
This 1kg bag is ideal for catering purposes. A smaller 30g pot of piquin chilli is also available.
Ingredients: piquin chilli.
