Description
Sweet smoked paprika is ground from sweet, round peppers grown in the Extremadura region southwest of Madrid. The Spanish paprika peppers are oak-smoked, infusing them with wood pipe notes, and are then ground in stone mills to keep temperatures low and help retain natural flavours. The sweet, smoked distinctive flavour of this paprika has earnt itself DOP status (Protected Denomination of Origin.)
Sweet smoked Spanish paprika introduces rich colour and flavour to paellas, as well as adding a warm smoky heat to roast potatoes and butternut squash, and flavouring chicken marinades.

| Chipirones en su tinta are squid in their own ink. The baby squid are stuffed in their ink with tomatoes and onion then seasoned with wine and spices. The stuffed squid are a speciality of Galicia and Asturias, on the northwest coast of Spain. To serve, simply heat the squid through and present alongside plain white rice or crusty bread to mop up the sauce. Also try serving the chipirones en su tinta tossed through freshly cooked pasta for a light supper. Ingredients: squid, sunflower oil, tomato, onion, wine, ink, salt, spices.
