Mazet de Montargis Pralines Trio – Original, Yuzu & Salt Caramel

The Mazet de Montargis trio box of pralines will delight any almond lovers. The gift box includes Mazet’s true and original pralines and two new varieties based on the classic recipe – pralines with salted caramel and pralines with yuzu. Whole almonds are grilled then given a crisp, caramelised coating.

The salted caramel pralines are given a creamy touch with butter caramel flavour, then fleur de sel de Guérande is added to balance the sweetness with big mineral notes. The yuzu pralines are given the Japanese treatment with a splash of yuzu juice, giving the pralines subtle floral citrus notes.

Mazet are a luxury French confectioner, and are best known for making the true and original ‘praslines’. Mazet have been producing pralines and chocolates from their workshop in Montargis since 1903. The recipe for their famous grilled and caramelised almonds has remained unchanged since its invention for the court of Louis XIII in 1636, and Mazet is now almost synonymous with this iconic French candy.

The pralines come in a pretty gift box, bearing the image of Mazet’s historical boutique on the Place Mirabeau in Montargis. The floral patterns and scrolling baroque elements hark back to the pralines’ origin in the French royal court.
