Halva shaar is a highly prized and rare halva. It comes in fibrous strands, like candyfloss – rather than the usual square or circular block.
Halva shaar – also known as ‘hair halva’ – is made from sweetened sesame paste. Halva is a Middle Eastern delicacy, and is often served at the end of meals, alongside a small, strong black coffee. You may find, however, that the lovely, light texture of halva shaar means that it’s tempting to pull the strands straight from the tub and dig in straight away.
Ingredients: Tahina, sugar, citric acid, vanillin. Contains allergens: sesame.
