Fine Jarish Boulgur Wheat
Jarish boulgour wheat is a staple Arabian grain and is widely used as an alternative to rice. It is traditionally served boiled and topped with sliced onions and chopped hot peppers. You can also toast fine jarish boulgur wheat in butter or oil and serve with chopped onions, tomatoes and chunks of lamb or beef to make a sort of pilaf – rice cooked in seasoned broth with onion and spices – called mufallaq.
