Belazu Verbena Harissa
Belazu verbena harissa is an aromatic blend of fresh North African herbs and spices. Fresh Mediterranean baby leaf spinach, fresh hand-picked coriander, garlic puree, and preserved Beldi lemons, are chopped and blended with North African spices including Moroccan Verbena from the Atlas mountains, which adds a freshness. Known as “Tears of Isis” in Egyptian times, Verbena is supposed to ward off vampires.
We love this green harissa roasted with fish or stirred through yoghurt to serve with chicken.
Ingredients: sunflower oil, fresh spinach, peas, preserved lemons, fresh coriander (3%), dijon mustard (water, mustard seeds, vinegar, salt), dried parsley, chilli, lemon verbena, vegetable stock, garlic puree, salt, spices.
