Alphonso mangoes are among the most highly-prized varieties of Indian mango, characterised, when fresh, by a soft, succulent flesh and rich mango flavour.

The season, for fresh Alphonso mangoes, sadly, is just for a few months in late spring to early summer. Alphonso mango pulp in cans is, therefore, a wonderful, convenient resource, available throughout the year and characterised by the same rich mango flavour.

Alphonso mango pulp is a useful store cupboard standby as it in excellent in desserts, perfect for making mango ice cream. Or try stirring it through custard and whipped cream to make mango fools. Alphonso mango pulp is also ideal for mango lassi, whisked with natural yogurt and seasoned with a touch of ground cardamom.
