Rhododendron Honey by Mieli Thun is characterized by alpine scents, with smells of white flowers and alpine herbs. The taste is sweet, intense and round. Traditionally it is paired with fatty mountain cheeses, or in the dough of “Canederli” (typical cheese dumplings) to mitigate the sour taste of sauerkraut. Also used in the kitchen to recreate gastronomic contrasts such as bitter-sweet or sweet-salty or to glaze or candify acidic fruits.
