The Caserecce di Gragnano IGP from Fabbrica della Pasta are a smooth pasta shape rolled up on itself like a small parchment, curved towards the tip. It is a type of pasta originally from Sicily, but also characteristic of other central-southern regions. Caserecce (or Casarecce) are indicated for the classic ragù, even if the smooth and delicately porous surface is perfect for any sauce, even the simplest ones. The Caserecce della Fabbrica della Pasta are produced according to the dictates of tradition, using the best first-extraction coarse-grained semolina mixed with water from the Monti Lattari spring. The bronze drawing and the long and delicate drying at low temperature help to create a unique and high quality product.
