Pallotte abruzzesi cac’ e ove with red Ursini sauce are one of the region’s most famous dishes. The invention of this meal originates from the peasant tradition when, in times of war, meat was scarce and meatballs were made with very simple ingredients: bread, cheese (cacio) and eggs. A single dish, hot and quick but very substantial. It can also be served in small portions as an appetiser, or as a main dish. After opening, we recommend storing in the fridge and consuming within a couple of days.
