The other ingredients such as onions, extra virgin olive oil, and pork lard are also strictly Italian. This ready-made pasta sauce has a distinct gamey flavor, like many traditional Tuscan sauces, and is particularly suitable for egg pasta or meat tortelli and ravioli.
