The Pasta Tirrena Luxury Pack brings together the 5 shapes of the Frescobaldi ancient grain pasta line: Linguine, Spaghetti, Caserecce, Penne Rigate and Fusilli. With the Tirrena line, the Frescobaldi family combines its centuries-old production of fine Italian wines and Laudemio extra virgin oil with that of high quality artisanal pasta and also in this case Frescobaldi family stands up as the ambassador of the enhancement of the territory with a 100% Tuscan product of excellence.

Pasta Tirrena was born in Tuscany, in the best terroir for the cultivation of ancient grains, thanks to the union between the fresh soils, the mild climate of Tuscany and the breezes of the Tyrrhenian Sea. It is a semi-wholemeal durum wheat semolina pasta, not very refined and highly digestible. It is obtained from ancient grains of the Senatore Cappelli, Khorasan and Evoldur varieties. These are grown on the Frescobaldi estates and processed in the Fabbri Artisan Pasta Factory in Strada in Chianti according to a method that has been handed down for generations.

The pasta is bronze drown and then naturally dried at temperatures below 38°C for a minimum of 3 days up to 6 days. This gives it a dark color, high digestibility and an extraordinary ability to absorb seasonings.
