The Carolina Reaper is a hybrid peperoncino obtained by crossing the Red Habanero with the Naga Morich and was confirmed in 2017 as the hottest chili pepper in the world by Guinness World Records™.

How to measure the spiciness of a chili pepper?

The spiciness of chillies is measured with the Scoville scale, which assigns each variety a score in SHU (Scoville Heat Units): the higher the score, the spicier the fruit.
